ABOUT
Meet Chelsea Von Mach—a Michigan native who moved to Los Angeles at 19 to pursue her childhood dream of building a career that combined her love of fashion, film, celebrity culture, and vintage clothing.
She started out by earning a degree in Merchandise Product Development at FIDM, interned with Anna Sui, styled for Rachel Zoe, and spent a year in New York working on the editorial side of fashion styling. After an apartment fire forced her return to LA, she transitioned into working as a stylist for movies and television. Her work earned her an Emmy Award for styling.
Chelsea’s love for vintage started long before it became a booming market. By 2015, she began selling from her collection at pop-ups, markets, and online. When the entertainment industry abruptly shut down in March 2020, she turned what had always been a passion into a full-time business. By February 2021, her success online led to THE STORE, a brick-and-mortar vintage boutique in Santa Monica. THE STORE quickly became a go-to for Hollywood’s top stylists, costume designers, and creatives—earning her features in DeuxMoi, WWD, and Marie Claire UK. In October 2024, after outgrowing its original space, THE STORE relocated to West Adams.
But the magic of THE STORE is just one part of Chelsea’s creative world. In October 2023, she launched STORE, a Substack publication that’s part digital magazine, part love letter to style, culture, and inspiration—uniting fashion obsessives across generations.
In October 2024, Chelsea expanded her vision with A GIRL AND A SHIRT, a line of made-to-order blouses designed in collaboration with Tim Farah (formerly of Thom Browne, Club Monaco, and Jack Spade). Inspired by an antique shirt she discovered on a buying trip in Paris, the collection combines heritage details with high-quality fabrics to create pieces that feel both timeless and effortlessly cool.
